Gary Tomita Makes THE Best Sushi in the World

Gary Tomita, a friend who lives in San Diego makes what is perhaps the best sushi in the world. Always fresh - and lately something new. He's added chicken teriaki rolls and shrimp tempura rolls to his already impressive offerings.

He doesn't have his own restaurant, so just creates for friends, but also makes most excellent fish tacos. He was especially happy with the grilled ling cod tacos on my recent trip.

If you are in the San Diego area and want a good drink, Gary serves them up at The Tidewater in Solana Beach 5 nights a week.
